Hawaii High School Talent Hunt

Attention High School Student,
The Lambda Beta Beta Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. announces our annual omega Talent Hunt Competition. The competition is Saturday, March 11, 2017 from 2:00 - 5:00pm at the Mission Memorial Auditorium in downtown Honolulu.
Auditions are February 26th, at the AMR community center theater. There is no ID card required to get to the community center.

National Honor Society

Kapolei’s High School’s National Honor Society is now accepting applications for new membership. Applications may be picked up from Mr. Reynon in H102 or Mrs.Inouye in H201. Applications will be due March 17th.

Mauna Kea Scholars Program for Telescope

Congratulations to the students who submitted proposals to the Mauna Kea Scholars program for telescope time. All of them were recognized for the quality of the work.
Congratulations to the following students who were named the 2017 Mauna Kea Scholars and will be receiving telescope time on Mauna Kea this spring:
1. Chantelle Lopez will be using the Gemini North telescope.
2, Ashley Takamiya and Justin Fernando will be using the Subaru telescope, and
3. Emily Little will be gathering her data from the Canada-France-Hawaii

For the Parents of 9th and 11th Graders

The Parent School Quality Survey will be sent home with your child during the week of February 6-10, 2017 with your child. This survey gathers feedback on how our school is doing with respect to school culture, satisfaction and engagement. Information is used to support planning and improvements efforts. Please take the time to complete the short survey either online or the paper survey (instructions as well as a pre-paid return envelope are in the packet sent home).
